Swedish Massage

Otherwise known as "relaxation massage". Firm, but gentle pressure is used with long flowing movements for total relaxation. Increased circulation and relief of muscle tension are results of this massage.

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue massage focuses on deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.  It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, sore shoulders and low back tightness.  The movement is slowed and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Neuromuscular Therapy is a specialized form of deep tissue massage in which pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain in a specific muscle or groups of muscles.  These areas of strain are called tender or trigger points and are the cause of muscular pain symptoms.

Reflexology

Reflexology is an alternative therapeutic treatment based on the idea that the body has an inner network of reflex points that are connected to other organs.  The reflex points that are targeted, are in the hands, feet and ears and are connected to body systems and internal organs, from the lymphatic system to the bladder.  In a reflexology treatment session, pressure is applied to certain sections of the feet, hands and other areas.  As a result of the body's natural reflex zones, the correlating body system or organs benefit from the pressure.
